Earth Day's 40th Anniversay, April 22, 2010:
April 22, 2010 is the 40th Anniversay of Earth Day. In 2009, G-Squared Group held a press conference in Times Square to mark the countdown to the 40th Anniversary. This year (2010), G-Squared is working with Earth Day New York on a number of exciting events, promotions, and educational campaigns leading up to April 22, 2010. G-Squared Group working with Earth Day New York to launch The E Campaign:
The E campaign has been designed to give Earth Day a new image, draw new people into the environmental movement, increase awareness of environmental solutions, and encourage citizens to take positive action for the planet. People from all walks of life will be encouraged to share what they do to "Be the E" – a call to action that evokes Gandhi’s plea to “be the change you want to see in the world.” The campaign is being hosted at www.eday40.org and includes a social networking component that allows participants to post their own E pictures and exchange ideas on how to put sustainability into practice.
Environmental activists Adrian Grenier and Matthew Modine and spiritual leader Deepak Chopra have been photographed for the E Campaign along with many other New Yorkers.
